This morning we woke up to a beautiful blanket of fresh, white snow. I debated whether or not I should wait out the commute and work from home until about 9 am. I decided that I would, and stayed home until about 9.
I got everything packed into the car to go; I even remembered to bring the calendar that Anthony made for me. I got into work and was happy that the drive wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and then, I realized something. I forgot my purse! I drove all the way to work, walked in the building and then had to turn around and drive all the way back home in the snow just to get my purse. I would have just left it at home, but I had my drivers license and wallet inside it. Needless to say, I made it to work about an hour later than I had originally anticipated.

Winter Crafts

This winter I decided that I would attempt to be "crafty". If you know anything about me, you know that crafty is not part of my description. It all got started with a Young Women's activity where we learned how to crochet. I vaguely remember doing this back when I was a teenager and in Young Women's, but had to re-learn everything all over.
I soon decided that I'd make crafts to give as supplemental Christmas presents (noticed that they are "supplemental" and not the entire gift). The scarf took the longest; about 14 hours total. The hats only took a couple hours each. The wreath was just a side project where I used an overgrown bush in our backyard as the filler (cost= $1). Needless to say, I went a little overboard this year, but Anthony says that I've become a "real woman" now that I can crochet ;o)

It's a Rocko Christmas
Grandma would be proud

I'm so excited to say that I was able to actually get a few large, ripe lemons on my grandma Helen's old lemon tree! I inherited this tree (well, more of a bush) when my grandma passed away and was determined not to kill it. The snails ate the leaves a bit over the summer but it survived and grew beautiful fruit. I plan on making something special with the lemons (maybe make a lemon meringue pie?).

YouTube Video Sensation!!!
My husband is quite talented at making videos. Here's one of our trip to St. Kitts and Nevis (in the Carribean) last October. Make sure that you have the volume on as the pictures go to the beat. Beautiful place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2UU4qH-cyM
First Time Blogger

Okay, I always promised myself that I wouldn't be one of those people that thinks that everyone wants to know what's going on in their life at all times, but I've found that lately the only way for me to be able to keep in touch with people is to check out their blogs. I guess that's a sign that I better "join the crowd".
Here's a little background information.... my husband Anthony and I celebrated our 6th anniversary just a few days ago. We don't have any kids (just a hilarious boston terrier name Rocko who take up most of our attention anyway). I'm suspecting that most of my posts will be Rocko-related. I apologize ahead of time.
