10 Months!

Cory turned 10 months old yesterday! I would have posted about it yesterday, but we were still traveling home from California. He did so well in the car and on the trip. I think this is the perfect age to take a road trip with him. He is so awesome!

Our trip was a blast! It was great to go with Anthony's family and I'm so glad I was able to see my sister and her girls. I'm not posting any photos of the trip yet, because Anthony has most of them on his camera (the ones I took with my phone aren't the best). Once he gets around to moving them to the computer, I'll post some pictures then. Here's one I took with my phone of Cory and Daddy (my two favorite people) at LegoLand.

Last weekend my parents had us stay overnight in their fancy new camper up at Tony Grove. We had a great time, but a bit of a rough night because Cory got sick. Overall, we had a blast!

Stats

I promised Cory's 9 month stats, so here they are!

Length: 28.5 inches, 58%

Weight: 19.13 lbs, 26%

Head: 18.5 inches, somewhere in the 90's%

Cory's not very heavy, but the doctor says he's still doing good. I don't know why everyone thinks he's such a big boy when they see him, he's actually kind of little.

Cory only had to get the flu shot this time, but since he's not eating solids that well, they wanted him to get a blood test to make sure that momma's milk was still doing the trick and ensure that he wasn't low in iron. His bloodwork came out just right.

I feel bad for him because the phlebotomist that he had was HORRIBLE! She tried to find a vein in both arms, pricked his finger and then after Cory screaming and flailing, had to have someone else come and prick his heel. They eventually were able to get enough blood from his heel to do the test. I felt so bad for him, he was so traumatized by that stupid lady! I can't believe she even tried to find a vein in his arm in the first place... he's freaking 9 months old, lady! Enough of my venting... he's doing just fine now.

9 Months!

Cory turns 9 months old today! Some milestones that he's hit lately are:

• Crawling- he goes backwards really well and is starting to lunge forwards now!


• Saying Dada! (to pretty much everything)


• Waving (not necessarily when he should, but he can do it!)


• Pulling himself up in his crib. He'll stand up and suck on the top rail.

I don't know his stats yet because I can't get him into the doctor until next week. Once I have those I will post them. I do know he's getting bigger though, because he won't fit in anything but 12 month clothing.

He's the sweetest little guy and we love him to pieces!

I did it; I finally got a professional hair cut. It's been so long that it's almost embarrassing (let's just say I don't think Anthony has ever been around when I've had my hair professionally cut). I've just been cutting my own hair forever. I know cutting your own hair is a bad idea, but hey, I was busy dang it (and cheap)!

Cory had his first visit to the zoo, thanks to Grandma Kris! We had a blast hanging out with Grandma, cousins Sam and Clea, Uncle Zach, Aunt Missy and Aunt Amy! I of course, didn't do so well with taking photos, so I hope others did and are willing to share (hint, hint). Thanks for a fun time at the zoo!
